Can you believe it? Mean Greens is turning 5! They're having a party to celebrate and we are all invited! There will be a special menu, chef demonstrations, and live music. I hope to see many Denton vegans there!
WHEN: Friday, October 14, 2016 TIME: 11:30am-1:30pm WHERE: Behind Maple Hall on the UNT Campus, 1621 Maple Street, Denton, TX 76201. COST: $7.50 for all-you-can-eat cafeteria meal WEBSITE: http://www.dining.unt.edu/meangreens Another new piece of information from Dining Services: This is just the beginning. Mean Greens already has plans to expand their menu options and increase the freshness of their food. This semester, they’re installing a Freight Farm behind the cafeteria. It’s a hydroponic garden built into a specially-designed refurbished freight trailer. Mean Greens has always sourced ingredients from local vendors, and this is as local as you can get. Now they will be able to grow lettuce and other produce right in their own backyard. Very cool! |
